ECLORE — Avant-Garde Apparel & Haute Couture Collection
ECLORE explores the delicate equilibrium between architectural rigidity and biological fluidity. Born out of an inquiry into how garments protect, reveal, and empower the human form, the collection reconciles precision tailoring with organic, undulating silhouettes. Every piece in the collection is conceived as an evolving shell—an exoskeleton that adapts to the wearer’s movement while commanding sculptural presence.
Created as an immersive fashion design showcase, ECLORE demonstrates a complete journey from biological conceptualization to 3D virtual garment modeling and bespoke textile fabrication.
Metamorphosis, Organic Morphogenesis & Natural Armor
The aesthetic foundation of ECLORE originates in the natural phenomenon of emergence: seed pods unfolding, chrysalis structures, and striated mineral formations. The design inquiry focused on tactile contrasts—juxtaposing raw fibrous densities against crystalline pleated transparencies.
Through detailed moodboarding, botanical sketches, and anatomical studies, natural growth patterns were abstracted into modular silhouettes. The resulting garments embody transformation, providing both defensive structure and graceful organic movement.
Precision Pattern Drafting, 3D Garment Simulation & Prototyping
Translating abstract biological concepts into wearable form required rigorous technical experimentation. Each garment underwent a dual-phase development workflow:
- 2D Flat Pattern Engineering: Precision geometric drafting of curved seamlines, asymmetrical godets, and volume-shifting darts.
- 3D Digital Simulation in CLO 3D: Simulating real fabric physical properties (warp/weft elasticity, bending rigidity, and gravity drape) prior to physical cutting.
- Physical Drape & Toile Iteration: Sculpting on half-scale and full-scale dress forms in unbleached calico to validate volume balance and ergonomic articulation.
- Modular Construction: Crafting internal corset scaffolding and hidden tension straps that distribute weight effortlessly across the body.
Tactile Textures, Sustainable Textiles & Bespoke Seam Finishes
The tactile narrative of ECLORE relies heavily on responsible material curation. Sculpted wool twills and bonded silk faille create resilient structural frameworks, paired with sheer pleated organza that responds dynamic to airflow and light. Seams are finished using French hand-binding, laser-cut edge sealing, and concealed magnetic closures.
